ASTR’s debut EP “Varsity” drops

Today is the day. Today is the day ASTR’s debut EP “Varsity” drops and it’s been a long time coming.

The New York City based pop male-female duo made up of Zoe Silverman and Adam Pallin, has been taking their sweet time to perfect this flawless debut, slowly dropping track after track on Soundcloud for bloggers to fangirl over.

Oldies but goodies include “Operate,” “R U With Me” and the sexiest cover of Drake’s “Hold On We’re Going Home” you’ll ever hear. The EP opens with new track “We Fall Down” and it’s completely covered in thick and heavy saturated ’80s inspired beats. A couple of songs later on “Blue Hawaii,” a little UK house and trap make an appearance and you’ll start to wonder what else these two have up their sleeves.

Pallin’s production is top notch and Silverman’s voice is dreamlike. Six songs just isn’t enough.

This is Neon Gold’s 50th release and having just inked a deal with Atlantic Records,  you’ll be seeing much more of ASTR this year.

Listen to the EP on Spotify and pick it up on iTunes right now and find someone to make out with.
