If you’re looking for that quintessential song to break you into this wonderfully awaited season, I highly suggest checking out “Come In From The Outside” by Rocket & The Ghost. This track exhibits the best of many worlds with its upbeat, driving quality, as well as its mix of futuristic and old school rock ‘n’ roll vibes. You really can’t help but bop along to this tune, as you’re sure to be singing along to the chorus before you even realize you know the lyrics. I can picture it now: taking a summer road trip down to the beach, windows down, cranking that stereo all the way up, and blasting “Coming From The Outside,” as you fly down the highway.

On the contrary, if you’re looking for something a little more subdued, but still in possession of an unbelievably catchy pop/rock hook, check out Rocket & The Ghost’s track, “Albuquerque.” This song is more dramatic; almost like a great story being told to the listener. The strong snare-drum-heavy lick demands your attention immediately. As the smooth, yet poignant vocals glide over the drums, certain melodic subtleties are introduced into the verse. The booming chorus takes on a real classic rock, Americana feel. There’s something hopeful about the transition from verse to chorus. The percussion heavy build gives way for the vocals to shine as that epic hook takes us away.
