VIDEO PREMIERE: “MOONBEAM” BY JOE BARKSDALE

We are excited to premiere the rhythmic new single from Joe Barksdale today called “Moonbeam.” While you may know Joe Barksdale as a stud offensive lineman for collegiate champs LSU or NFL teams such as the Raiders and Rams; he has transitioned from flattening defensive rushers to becoming a force in the music world with a unique approach to guitar and melody.

“Moonbeam” is a sultry and swaying soul-tune with deep bass, jangly guitars, wavy synths and when Joe sings it’s easy to appreciate his silky and effortless voice that bends around the notes perfectly. While “Moonbeam,” featuring sultry-soul backup vocals from NATALYA is exceptional, the video is equally impressive and matches the lyrics perfectly with stunning time-lapses and astronomy clips. Moonbeam is off Joe Barksdale’s upcoming album due out on 9-4-20 entitled Sincerely and we can’t wait for more indie-soul offerings from this blossoming artist.

“As much as everyone would like to live an “always sunny” life, many of us live through moments of darkness. It’s during these seasons that we realize how important it is to have moonbeams in our lives. Moonbeams are the people who check on us, pray for us, and help us get through the darkness by sharing their light. This song is an ode to all the Moonbeams out there. I want them to know how much they’re needed, and appreciated.” – Joe Barksdale
