Just the other day here at P&W, we were reminiscing about when King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard used to play 2-3 times a year in NYC. When we first caught the eclectic rockers at Northside Fest (RIP) in the summer of 2014, there were only a few dozen people at the outside gig; fast forward to that fall and they packed Pianos for CMJ (RIP), and tore the roof of the joint. Since then we’ve covered them over a dozen times, each show at a slightly bigger venue. So when we heard the news that King Gizzard would be playing a Marathon 3+ hr show at Forest Hills Stadium, we felt as if the Rock Gods blessed us with the ultimate gift.

Gizz released their first 2024 tour dates today, all of which are 3+hr marathon sets including stops in NYC on 8-17, Chicago on 9-1 , The Gorge, WA on 9-14 (which will be the biggest headlining date of their career) and Austin, TX on 11-15. The big gaps between these dates have us intrigued to other dates that may be announced, so stay tuned. Tickets go on sale this Friday 9-15 at 12pm EST to the public or if you subscribe to Gizzymail, you can get your tickets tomorrow 9-13 at 11am.
